Brent Bannerman

Brent co-founded the firm after spending 25 years of entrepreneurship across a spectrum of businesses. His early corporate experiences include working with an insurer and a global financial firm in Toronto, Boston and New York City. In 1999, he left corporate to pursue his passion for entrepreneurship. He has founded and started venture and corporate-backed businesses in software, wearable devices, retail services, manufacturing and healthcare. In addition to founding and operating companies, he has worked with established firms to achieve multiple returns on investment through his focused assignments. 

Brent has worked within multiple types of ownership structures including large corporate, venture, privately held and family owned business. He has personally purchased and sold several companies and successfully navigated bankruptcy restructurings. Formally educated at McGill University with a BA and B.Ed, Brent’s passion for growing businesses, teaching, and helping people succeed, epitomizes the firm’s values. 

Married with three children, Brent is a supporter of Boston Children’s Hospital, Friends of McGill Hockey and a recreational tennis player, mountain biker and skier.

 George A. Marderosian 

George, who co-founded Bannerman Advisors, founded Clubhouse Capital in 1995 (www.clubhousecapital.com), at the time specializing in golf course finance. The company became widely regarded within the national golf industry, closed dozens of golf course transactions, and oversaw the development or turnaround of numerous well-known private and resort facilities on the East Coast. In 2000, he expanded Clubhouse’s footprint to include and eventually focus on business and real estate finance, and has helped finance manufacturers, distributors, professional and financial service companies, real estate developers, and cannabis companies. 

George is personally recognized and qualified as a finance expert in the federal bankruptcy courts of several districts and within the RI state court system, often serving as advisor to attorneys representing distressed companies in insolvency or reorganization proceedings. He is a graduate of Moses Brown School in Providence (1977), Middlebury College (B.A., Political Science, 1981, w/ Honors) and Boston University School of Law (J.D., 1984, cum laude). He enjoys very strong and longstanding relationships in the commercial banking, investment banking, private capital, legal and accounting communities. 

George is a Rhode Island native whose interests include cooking, golf, and US history and politics. He resides in Edgewood, RI with his wife and two young children, and they spend much of the summer months in Falmouth, MA.
