Dietz & Watson Philadelphia Beer Garden

The Challenge: Reinforce D&W’s reputation as a high-quality purveyor of premium meats and artisan cheeses associated with respected craft beer brands.

The Solution: In collaboration with the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, create an urban beer garden anchored by a D&W food truck that serves a menu featuring their premium meats and artisan cheeses.

The Results: Our efforts generated overwhelming goodwill from consumers, and brought to life our Real Philly Deli marketing campaign. While we could have increased menu prices, generating $25,000 in additional revenue to compensate for lower than expected attendance, both client and agency agreed to prioritize sampling opportunities and the reinforcement of D&W’s Philadelphia roots over program profitability. Menu prices were kept affordable, covering food cost and some operating expenses while delivering a premium D&W experience to consumers.
